The impeccable quality of the previous steps shines through in the casting. Best-in-class machinery and unparalleled skill come together at Method Casting to raise casting to a new level. The Cimo investment machine handles the first phase of the process and is the best of its kind on the market. It is distinctive due to its ability to place both the investment powder and the demineralised water under high vacuum so the powder absorbs the water better and is airtight, helping prevent porosity. The exact amount of demineralised water is mixed thoroughly with the water and poured over the tree under vacuum. Only minimum vibration is needed thanks to the vacumatisation, which means the mixture remains very homogenous.

Next up is the Yasui Rotating Burnout Furnace. This advanced and energy-efficient oven has a rotating interior rack to ensure homogenous heating and burnout of the flasks. The temperature can be regulated with ultra-precision to ensure optimum preparation for casting.

We use Yasui K3-up machines for the casting. It’s a powerful and versatile vacuum casting machine. It can cast large and small volumes with the same superlative quality. The alloys are melted quickly in an argon atmosphere. It is then thoroughly mixed and poured into the flask under vacuum. It replaces impure air with inert gas and then casts the metal fully automatically through suction and pressurisation. This combination of pressure from the upper chamber and vacuum in the lower chamber renders first-rate casting results.
